Anne embarked on an "Emily Carr" series of protest paintings in June 2021, in response to BC premier John Horgan's plan to destroy what little is left of our province's old-growth forests. She also purchased a supply of Emily Carr postcards at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, and mailed them to members of the BC legislature, with the message: "Why don't you just trash a bunch of Emily Carr paintings while you're at it?"

Anne is continuing with her "Emily" series, but has not forgotten her Oystercatchers.
